At BebeTots we provide high quality child care for your child and your peace of mind. We believe that all children are curious and creative, will enjoy learning through play and can develop to their full potential.
No two children have exactly the same skills or learning style. That is why we create an individual learning plan for every child we look after. We would like to work with you, as we value your comments, in order to create a plan that is appropriate to your child.
We feel a wide range of activities within the setting can give all children a variety of experiences; be it discovering treasure in the sandpit, making new friends, learning to put on their own coat or taking their precious creations home for parents/carers to share in their excitement.
BebeTots Nursery is committed to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and their individual needs. We expect all staff, volunteers and contractors to share our commitment.
BebeTots started in 2011 when we began childminding in our our family home in Westbury, Wiltshire. In January of 2016 we were delighted to open BebeTots Nursery & Pre-School, a small family run day nursery, in Westbury, with 3 playrooms; Baby Bears for under 2 year olds, Little Lions for 2 year olds and Elder Elephants for 3 and 4 year olds.
We like the home from home feel of the nursery, allowing children to access all areas of play and it is always our aim to continue to grow and develop our play areas, creating a world of wonder, curiosity and creativity for all children.
"Staff support children's communication and language very well. They encourage children to listen to and engage in stories and songs. Babies smile as they attempt to 'squeak like a mouse'. Toddlers become confident to put two- and three-word sentences together. Older children listen intently to a story about a zoo and enthusiastically join in with the 'great big roar of a lion'." extract from our Ofsted report May 2022.
Within the nursery we have policies and procedures in place so that you are aware of what we will do to care for your child. The policies and procedures also lay out what can be expected from us, what is expected from you and the children.
It is key that you are willing to work in partnership with the nursery so we have the best knowledge about your child, and who else knows your child best?
A copy of policies and procedures are available for you to view at any time.
Being governed by Ofsted, we are required to have regular inspections regarding our day to day practices and procedures.
During our first inspection in March 2017, we were graded "GOOD" in all areas:
Our Ofsted inspector said...
"Children of all ages are self-assured and independent. They approach unfamiliar adults with great confidence and interact very well with staff"
"The manager and staff successfully evaluate the nursery and make targeted improvements, which have a positive impact on children's play and achievements"
"Staff interact well with children and encourage them to solve problems and work together"
"The manager carefully tracks the progress of individuals and groups of children, which helps to identify any gaps in children's development"
"The manager and staff work well with parents and other professionals. This shared approach promotes a joined-up understanding of children's need and is particularly effective for those children learning English as an additional language"
During our inspection in May 2022, we were graded 'GOOD' in all areas:
Our Ofsted inspector said....
"Children are settled and happy in the nursery. They interact well with their friends and begin to show kindness to others."
"Staff provide a broad curriculum that supports children's interests and helps children develop their skills effectively through their play. "
"Parents state that staff are friendly and approachable and keep them well informed about their children's activities. Parents say that staff are supportive of their particular circumstances, and they are reassured about leaving their children in their care."
"Staff make good use of praise and encouragement to support children's good behaviour. They talk with children about their emotions and help them learn to play cooperatively with their friends. Staff keep clear boundaries to help children feel secure and confident in the nursery."
"The management team supports staff well to build on their skills and their understanding of children's learning and development. This has supported staff to develop their interactions with children's play, to encourage children's learning and help them make good progress."
